How to Choose a Pallet Supplier: 10-Point Checklist

What to look for when evaluating pallet suppliers — from inventory to delivery to pricing and reliability.

Buyer's Guide

10 Questions to Ask Any Pallet Supplier

  1. Do you own your delivery fleet? Third-party freight means less control over delivery timing and condition.
  2. What is your current inventory? A supplier who can't tell you their inventory level can't guarantee availability.
  3. How many facilities do you operate? Multiple facilities mean redundancy and better geographic coverage.
  4. What manufacturing equipment do you use? AMS-automated lines produce more consistent pallets than manual operations.
  5. Are you ISPM-15 certified? If you ever ship internationally, you need a certified supplier.
  6. Do you offer recycling and buyback? A full-service supplier can reduce your net pallet cost significantly.
  7. What is your minimum order? Suppliers with minimum orders can't serve your variable demand.
  8. Who owns and operates the company? Family-owned operations typically provide more consistent service and accountability.
  9. Can you scale with my business? Your supplier should be able to handle your peak demand without degrading service.
  10. Do you have industry recognition? Published case studies and trade press features indicate operational excellence.
